We want to hear from you!
Our team is preparing for tax preparation season, and diving into conversations about related tax planning. As part of our commitment to our clients and our community, we want to provide information and ideas that are useful and interesting to you. So, let us know what topics or questions you would like our professional team to address in articles or video over the coming months. Contact us with your ideas.

In the Community
Our team supports programming through the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. Last week, our CEO was Honorary Chair for the Spirit of Volunteerism celebration, recognizing companies, organizations and individuals for their community impact.

Now, we are collecting shoe boxes and gifts for children across the region to receive Holiday Hope Chests. Described as “happiness in a shoe box,” these small gifts are often the only present many children receive. This year, nonprofits are requesting more than 10,000 boxes. That means there are 10,000 children who are in need.

Our team’s humble contribution usually amounts to somewhere between 20 and 30 boxes. But every box makes a difference. If you are so inclined, please look for the collection box in our front lobby where you can drop off items to help us do more. Visit to see the list of nonprofits requesting shoeboxes and the suggested gift list.

Our offices will be closed until noon on Friday, November 1 for our annual compliance and security training. A client service representative will be available to assist you in the afternoon, and your advisory teams will be checking e-mail and voicemail periodically throughout the day.

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Jessica Goedtel, CFP® to the position of Assistant Vice President / Financial Advisor.

Meet the Team
Stefany Allen, Administrative Assistant

Year at VNFA: 1 ½
“The thing I enjoy most about my job at Valley National is taking care of our clients and getting to know them.”

About Stefany: I live in Bethlehem with my husband, Nick, and dog, Cooper. We both enjoy time with family/friends. We have three nieces and three nephews who we adore and see as much as possible. We support our military – my husband is a disabled veteran who is still enlisted in the Army Reserve.

Fun Fact: Fall is my favorite time of year!

Interests/Hobbies: During the week, after work, I like to keep busy cooking and going to the gym. I enjoy trying new recipes for dinner. I love watching college football and I am a huge Notre Dame fan. I also enjoy the beach, especially travelling to the Caribbean.

Our CEO dropped by the WDIY studio yesterday to discuss VNFA’s partnership with the station during the upcoming fall membership drive.

Our team will once again expand each donation in support of public radio to include funding for meals through Second Harvest Food Bank. Last year, VNFA’s contribution on behalf of WDIY listeners provided 12,865 meals thanks to this unique partnership.

The recorded interview with Matt Petrozelli and Jessica Dokachev from Second Harvest will air during the pledge drive beginning on October 14.

Our team celebrated our VP of Finance & Tax Services last week as she was honored as the Rising Star at the Lehigh Valley Business CFO of the Year Awards. Elizabeth Wilson, CPA was recognized along with seven other financial professionals from non-profit and for-profit businesses at a breakfast ceremony Sept. 11.
