Avani has more than 11 years of corporate experience in accounting & income tax preparation. She has experience in the preparation and review of tax returns, both for individuals and businesses. “Our Tax Department team is pleased to welcome Avani to VNFA in this full-time role,” said Amanda Pugliese, CPA, Director of Tax Services.Originally from India, Avani has lived in New Jersey for more than 12 years. Team VNFA wants to thank Apollo Grill for including us in their Breast Cancer Awareness Running/Walking Challenge. Our run/walk team was able to complete 10 miles each over seven days. Apollo and VNFA will donate $3,000 to Cancer Support Community of the Lehigh Valley. Thank you also to everyone who dined at Apollo in October for which the restaurant donated 5% of their food sales. Team VNFA is joining forces with Apollo Grill to fundraise for Cancer Support Community Greater Lehigh Valley in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Team Apollo with members from VNFA will each walk/run 10 miles over seven days and Apollo and Valley National Financial Advisors will donate for each mile to the Cancer Support Community.
How can you help? Do good by dining out. Every Thursday in October Apollo Grill has been donating 5% of their lunch and dinner food sales to the Cancer Support Community. It is not too late – there is still one more Thursday left this month.

The WDIY Fall Membership Drive continues this week, and Team VNFA’s partnership has so far resulted in more than 10,000 meals to be funded for Second Harvest Food Bank.
For every $100 pledged to WDIY during the membership drive, Valley National Financial Advisors will donate to allow Second Harvest to provide 21 meals to individuals and families in our community.

Team VNFA Adds Marketing & Communications Coordinator Role
Valley National Financial Advisors (VNFA) has hired Fatima Alba to the newly created position of Marketing & Communications Coordinator. Fatima is a Penn State Lehigh Valley Alumna, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication. Fatima is also the proud recipient of the 2020 Penn State Heart of the Lion Award.
Fatima will work directly with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to coordinate, execute, and monitor marketing and communication efforts. “Fatima is ideally suited to take on this new job, and a welcome addition to the team,” said Judianne Harris, CMO. “I believe she will be able to make an immediate impact by simply lending a fresh perspective to our internal and external communication and branding strategies.”
Originally from New York City, Fatima has lived in the Lehigh Valley for more than 10 years. Outside her professional work, Fatima hikes and loves to spend quality time with her family.
